It all started late 1998. My skills became too advanced for the Royce Union I got for my birthday that year in September. I needed some high performance equipment. So I asked my dad for a GT
Saddleback for Christmas. In December we went to Route 15 Bike shop and bought the Saddleback for $300. I thought it was the best bike ever. It sat around in the garage for the winter until the spring. I started to ride it thinking I was the coolest biker around. I wanted to show off my skills and my new bike so on the bus I told J Dogg There was going to be a “Bike Show” at the Stillwater General Store. Back then it was a joke. I kept telling him about it but it never happened. Then in May Hans Abba heard about it and we were going to really have a Bike Show. I met Hans at the General Store and we were going to J Dogg’s house when we met him at the bridge. We rode around with our primitve skills for the rest of the day. Since then the bike show has been almost every day. Our skills are no longer primitive and we can be seen tearing up the town of Stillwater and the Paulinskill area.
